(12)Funny even for the next generation
By thrappo (10 reviews) from Thrapston , 17 Feb 2009When this was first on TV in the 90's, we loved watching with friends, who are Indian. While we thought it was hilarious, they found it even funnier and explained some of the 'in' jokes.
Our older boys are now teenagers and I thought we would let them watch to see if the comedy worked for them. We were pleased when they found it really funny, but were more surprised when our younger kids laughed as well especially at the two techno Bhangra teenagers. They were repeating the catch phrases and scenes all weekend.
Great series, still funny to those of us watching for a second time, and also managing to span a generation.- Was this review helpful to you?

By princessMya (17 reviews) from Sheffield , 13 Feb 2008Fantastic funny had me in fits of giggles at all the antics love The Guru Maharishi sanjeev Bhaskar is great as him ,love dennis cooper and co too especially their way of speaking such as sarjeeet!!! and their love of all things british lol,The bhangra muffins are really annoying though especially their catchphrase innit!,
gotta love mr cheque please and definately the competative danda mothers,chunky lafanga mr INDIAN! and smita smitten,
Love the songs too.
Love the going out for an english sketch soo funny,

I Knew That !!

I remember watching this comedy show when they first broadcast it on TV... it was (and still is) unique and different... a bunch of indian/pakistanis taking the micky out of themselves and their own culture! - Talk about rubbing it in!... Totaly Crazy! Made me laugh so much in parts that my chest hurt! :-D They're all crackers!!!- Was this review helpful to you?
