I get a lot of flack for liking this show, so if you consider yourself to have more conventional tastes, then you're probably better off avoiding this. For those who do like Goodnight Sweetheart...
It takes a few episodes to get used to the new female cast members, although Phoebe is the better of the two. Not as well written as the previous series, but there's enough to keep the show's cult following happy. Gary's fashion sense has changed slightly at the 1990s end. This is for the better thankfully - none of those multi-coloured rugby tops. Ron's new apartment, however, is a reminder that series 3 is still a few years short of the new millenium. Gary marries Phoebe and then she has the baby. Gary has the stagg night with Ron, as dry as ever, 50 years after the wedding took place. Fans will not be dissapointed.
Not as good as the first three series,
but quite watchable. Perhapa it's due to the change of cast and by bringing in Emma Amos that makes the difference.
great entertainment
