Both Jackie Chan and Tony Leung Chiu-Wai strike against type in this unconvinving blend of chop socky and romantic comedy. Yet the central character is Qi Shu, who plays a naive dreamer from a Taiwanese fishing village, who flies to Hong Kong in response to a message in a bottle. Undeterred by the fact its sender is Leung's gay make-up artist, she tilts her cap at Chan, a millionaire in the middle of a long-running feud with the dastardly Emil Chau. There's precious little martial artistry until Qi is kidnapped. But then there's not that much romance or comedy, either.
"...A laid-back charmer....A good old-fashioned heart-warmer..."
What has Jackie done? He must be really short of acting jobs, to take this film. He is boring , bottom dollar script turned off not even half way through. Jacke has better get his act together after this pile of mess. AVOID
