It Ain't 'Alf Great!

Unlike the Sun's critic I (and many others) HAVE read the source material and I think the films are a joy!

Christopher Lee as Flay is superb as is Celia Imrie who plays her part with exactly the right air of total indifference to her son - and everyone else - whilst keeping a very clear eye on the proceedings. Richard Griffiths is magnificently oozy as Swelter and John Sessions Dr. Prunesquallor has just the right amount of assumed flippancy disguising a sound mind from all and sundry.

All in all, a brilliant, witty and true to the book realisation.
