(6)Starts off on shakey ground.....
By twosoddingcats (209 reviews) from Kingston-upon-Thames , 01 Jul 2012The beginning of the series starts off on shakey ground- the storyline with Blair at NYU didn't quite gel. Also, what about Lily's son? They introduce him and he's forgotten about...does he come back in series 4? It's silly nonsense, but you know you love it.- Was this review helpful to you?

Not good at the start
By dumbolives (269 reviews) from Shetland , 22 Sep 2010The beginning of the series was certainly lacking but the last few eps and definately the series finale were back to the high standard I have come to expect from this TV show. Some of the characters have become quite unlikeable and whiny but ignore them because this is still worth watching if you are a fan.- Was this review helpful to you?

Still love it!
By a customer from Derby , 29 Aug 2010Although its had mixed reviews, I'm still loving Gossip Girl and will definately be buying season 3.
Although the first half of the season is a little rocky, they introduced characters they didn't really need and had some weaker storylines, they still manage to keep it interesting and funny and around episode 11 and onwards it turns back into the Gossip Girl show we all fell in love with orginally. The story lines become more engaging, the characters become more developed and there's definately more of the OMG factor.
With my favourite couple being Chuck and Blair fan, I was so excited to see them together but was worried if they'd lose their spark when they actually put them in a relationship. However I was not dissapointed. They had some really funny scenes and it was good to see them still play their games! Whilst the steamy scenes were devoted more to Seena and Nate this season, Chuck and Blair had some really emotional ones and showed off the couples incredible chemistry once again.
My favourite episode was ep 12 'The Debarted'. It had really great twists for all the characters epsecially Chuck dealing with his fathers death (and Ed Westwick was really amazing in this episode).
Overall, whilst you made not like the first half as much stick with it and you will not be dissapointed, especially with the finale which is the best finale yet!- Was this review helpful to you?

ACTION PACKED AND EXPLOSIVE AS IT PROGRESSES
By venezuela (157 reviews) from Isleworth , 28 Aug 2010Non stop activity, however the build up in the first couple of DVDs is a little show but generally this does not disappoint. As the series progresses it just gets better and better. Ethnic minorities are displayed in the correct manner and integrated into the script as believable characters without stereotypes or OTT behaviour unlike Cashmere Mafia that messed the whole thing up.
Jenny's character has a big part to play and does so brilliantly and the love triangles or quadruples of Dan, Serena, Nat and co. are hugely entertaining. More scandals and denials, women wanting to keep up appearances, betrayal and wicked surprises and comebacks....It is all here!- Was this review helpful to you?
