Grave Of The Vampire review

This is actually a little gem of a movie. I rented it on the strength of it being a Vipco resurrection, and also because of my strong love of 70s and 80s 'low-budget' horror.
I won't go into too much about the plot or characters, because being fair, it's quite deep and somewhat incomprehensible. The storyline twists and turns, but it's enough to keep you entertained. Basically, a rape of a woman by a vampire produces a vampire baby who grows up to be a 'nice (?)' vampire?wanting to find his dad.
Considering this movie looks like it was produced on a budget which wouldn't even buy you a second hand Transit van, the whole 'entity' of Grave of the Vampire stands up to more contemporary vampire flicks.
I really enjoyed it! The sort of 'dodgy' plot evolves and culminates in an outrageous fight of good & evil at the end. Glorious!
So, rent it in, dim the lights and enjoy what was commonly known in the 70s as 'exploitation cinema'
