Romantic comedy that takes sibling rivalry to a whole new level
By DanaK (33 reviews) from London , 05 Sep 2007[Highly rated reviewer]
Siblings Gray (Heather Graham) an advertising executive, and Sam (Thomas Cavanagh) a surgeon, are so close that everyone gets the impression that they are a couple. They live together, jog together, finish each other's sentences, and like the same classic movies. That all changes the day Gray introduces Sam to Charlie (Bridget Moynahan) a charming zoologist who's ready to settle down. Sparks fly, and as soon as the two start making wedding plans Gray begins to feel pangs of regret. No, it's not that she wants her brother back, but that she . . . This comedy is an ultra-light look at homosexuality and the challenges of coming out late in life. This is light entertainment to watch with your girlfriends. I found so many scenes annoying that I rate this 1,5 star and I wish Heather Graham stopped wasting her talent playing cute neurotics. If you want something more classy on this topic rent Kissing Jessica Stein instead which I would rate 3,5 star.- Was this review helpful to you?

(45)"I Happen To Think You're Pretty Dandy" !!!
By a customer , 31 May 2012'Gray Matters' is not your average Gay movie.....
It is well acted, well written and well made, in a 'chick flick' sort of way.
A good film that anyone could watch and enjoy.....
Apart from one stolen kiss, don't expect any 'girl on girl' action.- Was this review helpful to you?

A sweet comedy about falling love
By Manth (7 reviews) from Lancaster , 20 Sep 2011I love this film! The film is described to sound like some kind of incest film but that isn't the case at all! A brother and sister do like the same woman but not in a seedy way!! The film is funny and sweet, and reveals how falling in love is not as simple as people think.- Was this review helpful to you?

Avoid if you think its about lesbians
By Funky57 (26 reviews) , 26 Jul 2011I watch this film a while back its forgettable its not Gay there not much I can say about it straight people will enjoy this but dont think lesbians will embrace this film its a miss for me. I hate when people make a film hype it up as a lesbian film then just show one scene and call it a great lesbian film it is not!- Was this review helpful to you?

Funny and sweet
By Andrea85 (5 reviews) from Stoke-on-Trent , 03 Apr 2011I watched this with my wife and wasn't expecting it to be any good. But we were both very surprised as it turned out to be a very cute film. A little far fetched and some acting scenes slightly cringe worthy but still loved it. One of the better lesbian films we'v watched in a long time.- Was this review helpful to you?

Gray Matters
By Emjay69 (327 reviews) from Kidlington, Oxford , 01 Apr 2011Loved it. Every moment of it, The more I think of it the more I love it. A story that is very improbable, but possible, kept me glued to the screen. It's a brother and sister act that goes a little adrift when they both fall in love.
If you're broad minded and have an evening free, get yourself a Chinese Take Away and enjoy this film with it. It will make the food taste better.- Was this review helpful to you?
