(3)Very, very good
By thelovelykyle (8 reviews) , 09 Oct 2011It is tremendous - but this is the way of Wildlife documentaries since the advent of new technologies.
You genuinely get the sense that you are observing the animals and there are some wondeful moments - In particular a moment on Disc 1 involving a Zebra (I shall leave it at that)
The camera work is excellent and Fry as narrator is splendid. I probably would not own the DVD set but its definitely worth a watc.- Was this review helpful to you?

Disks vary
By trevour (12 reviews) , 26 Jul 2011Disk 1- If you have seen the old BBC documentaries covering the zebra monarch butterflies then this is just the same. If you are interested in watching it again then this is worth a look but I didnt learn anything new.
Disk 2- Alot more interesting, I learnt some new things, the camera work was good but they do like to go into more depth in killing sean at least they dont endear you to the prey like the BBC.
Disk 3- How the documentaries are made. I found this very interesting, its basically along the lines of what you see at the end of some BBC documentaries if you like this disk I can recommend National Geographic - Nat Geo's Most Amazing Photos / Top 10 photos / The Photgraphers Details 2010- Was this review helpful to you?
