Most helpful review
One for Sunday afternoon.By a customer from Leicester,UK , 22 Feb 2005
[Highly rated reviewer]A gentle film with the fab Helen Mirren in it. Reminds me a bit of Calendar Girls. Clive Owen is about as characterful as a rubber band, but I guess he is nice to look at!

Blooming marvellous!By gingerspike (432 reviews) from Grimsby , 05 Nov 2012A funny UK film with a great cast. The film tells the story, based on actual events, of a bunch of prison inmates who begin to show an interest in gardening and subsequently go on to compete in Hampton Court Palace Flower Show.
Typical 'idealised' British filmBy a customer , 07 Oct 2012A gentle British style film and with simplistic characterisation to match. Some excellent views of Fairford inGloucestershire where some of it was filmed! Not a great film due to the shallow level of acting. Clive Owen especially seems to remain impassive all through and constant close ups of his face show no communication to the audience.
A heartwarming taleBy Giantphilip (9 reviews) from West Sussex , 22 Nov 2011An enjoyable tale, made all the better by being based on a true story. Clive Owen was excellent as was Helen Mirren.
It could have become a bit mawkish, but this was avoided without any difficulty.
Greenfingers GreenfingersBy NICKJOJO (256 reviews) from Surrey , 19 Oct 2011A little predictable but not a bad comedy/drama to boot. Clive Owen and Helen Mirren are supported well by the rest of the cast who all turn in a fun hour and a half despite the holes in the storyline's practicality.
