Keen writing and standout performances from its well-cast ensemble have made this one of primetime's most consistently fine series.
This is an American hospital drama, where Meredith Grey is a newly qualified doctor, the program follows her through the trials and tribulations of working in a busy hospital, from feeling out of depth to falling in love with her senior aka Dr McDreamy! From coping with a poorly mother to carrying around a frozen penis!
I have to say as a hospital worker myself, it is so nice to escape the likes of Casualty and Holby, with Grey's Anatomy. Ok, from a nurse's (myself) point of view it is a tad unrealistic - gorgeous doc's covering every specialty in the hospital single handed? If only!
But, i have to say i loved this piece of escapism and can't wait until the next series
This takes you back to the golden days of ER, but with more humour. Patrick Dempsey is fantastic - finally a part he deserves!
What an excellent series! I only caught an episode on Tv and thought it looked okay, but having watched all 15 episodes with my wife, we were gripped with it. I have read one write up which said it is what ER should have been. Not sure about that as it is quite different, but very enjoyable; Series 2 has just started showing - I will be there.
Good show even if it is from the USA!
Dunno what the person who slated it was watching but it couldnt of been Grays it is brilliant and highly addictive. The characters are great and most of them rather dishy, some of the story lines have you hiding behind your cushion of sitting on the edge of your seat. I have watched ER and House, House i found to be a bit on the repetitive side and this is definatley much better than ER. For you guys out there its not just the male actors who are dishy i think you will also be pleased.

Well what can i say except i became a sad hermit after the first 2 episodes and completely hooked to the point of waiting for the postman and then sitting down and watching 4 hours in one go one weekend! For someone who never watches hospital dramas i even coped with the blood and gore to experience the excellent script and superb casting. Watch it, or miss out!
Its an easy watching, fun, cheeky and saucy delight to watch.
My whole family are hooked.
CAN NOT WRITE A REVIEW BECAUSE THIS DISC WOULD NOT PLAY
My friend had been telling me to watch it for ages, I've just finished watching and it's fantastic.
i absolutly loved this tv series, i did not realise what all thehyupe was about when it was on television, now i know!
ITS AMAZING.
it makes me feel like i should be a doctor!

You get a look at what its like to be an intern, not sure of its correct but its a look.

This series sets the scene for the brilliant characters, and it just gets better and better as the episodes go on. I love it and I would recommend it to anyone!!
