    Great movie!

I havn't seen many Korean movies, but luckily the first one I ever watched was this one! The story follows four young assassins who, apart from killing people as a profession, are like ordinary people with sometimes less-than-perfect lives. The Korean humour is just spot on and Jin Jang perfectly masters the balance between action, humour and character development. Maybe Hollywood should start paying attention to the quality of films being produced abroad...

    what a load of c#@*

Amature assassins at work here with a low budget and an awful plot. after a painful hour of watching this i was hopeing an assassin would just finish me off. its soooooooo boring. I only rented this film due to the other review written, but trust avoid this like the plauge it NOT a good film.

    Popcorn flick

'Group of assassins-for-hire take on a job they're not sure they can handle.' The concept sounds interesting enough, like a small budget Mission Impossible with an added dimension of self-doubt. Surely there'll be lots of creativity and sharp action on show to make up for big set pieces or things not going BOOM? Well....there isn't. If you're expecting this you'll be sadly disappointed.

Not nearly as dramatic, explosive, comedic or poignant as other recent Korean exports, but then again it doesn't aim to be. Guns & Talks is a popcorn movie at its core, the kind you'd watch to burn an hour or two.

For all the skeptics out there who want EVERYTHING from a movie, there's plenty to hate on here. Unconvincing CGI explosions. Soundtrack that sound like a MIDI enthusiast having a go on his keyboard, whilst decent, doesn't fit. In terms of Cinematography it looks more like a well-put together school project than a professional piece of cinema.

Whilst the main cop is a great stone-faced no-nonsense character the others left a little something to be desired. While there's a decent scene here and there and the humour's pretty consistent throughout, it's ultimately unremarkable and inessential. Sure, you could watch it if you had nothing else to do, but surely you could watch something better instead.

For something titled 'Guns & Talks' there's no a lot of firing at all and the dialogue is nothing special. If GUNS is what you're looking for then you should certainly check out The Killer or Hard Boiled.

    Guns and talks

If you are expecting another Asian John Woo type film which i am a huge fan of, then this will be a bit of a surprise. Although its a film about four assassins in the lead roles, it is in fact the story of four friends finding love for the first time and discovering themselves and their personalities along the way. A very stylish and in fact light hearted film with some great artistic direction and characters you feel warm to gives this Korean director a good solid thumbs up

    a bit of a surprise

This movie is definatly not what you first expect it to be,and in fact. its a pleasent surprise. The story of four very close friends/relations who are hired killers you, of course, expect it to be a hard brutal movie about four guys with no feelings, in fact its a little light hearted,in fact quite funny in parts as each main player finds differnt aspects of both himself and his friends. All the main parts are well acted but espectially the gang leader and the police man hunting him down. A strange relationship builds between the policeman and the gang leader leading to a huge twist near the end. The first 10 mins I thought were a little slow but looking back I think that was ecause I was expecting the usual shoot em up ,when i realised the direction the movie was taking I began to enjoy it very much. Much better directed than most Korean films the director gets good performances buy using good direction techs. A good movie with some good twists and a few light moments to set it off. I liked it

    excellent film

I thought this film was very good, its more of a comedy than an action film, but definitely one of the better Korean films that get a release in this country.
