Nice Cinematography, Pointless Film

I was surprised by how well the film is shot. Lots of muted colours and the guest house has a dreary nightmarish quality about it. It's all surprisingly stylish for such a low budget movie.
But the storyline is fairly pointless and shallow. There are no sympathetic characters really and it's not even particularly gory or shocking. Any film that can make torture seem quite dull isn't really doing its job properly, is it?- Was this review helpful to you?

Personally I couldn't see any similarity with Hostel, or Saw for that matter (beyond the moral values of the killer), still found it a quirky and unsettling little movie though. A Two Star But Let Me Explain

Naff film not worth watching move on

hommage to family values

He gets married and starts sadistically murdering prostitutes inside his house. Gory action combined with cannibalism and leading to ending that shows just how immaculate his plan was both in terms of how he conceived it and executed it. Worth a watch...especially if your a true crime buff
By BestMam (22 reviews) , 05 Jul 2012I enjoyed this film. The background to the story was very much like Saw, where he wanted his victims to appreciate life. More sex then gore so not much of a horror. I have read many serial killer books and the profiles are mostly the same and this film highlighted these consistencies. Worth a watch and made it more enjoyable due to the subtitles...- Was this review helpful to you?
