I have seen this film a few times, and you really need to in order to understand whats going on. Basically, Dade Murphy/'Zero Cool'/'Crash Override' is an excellent hacker who has been in trouble with the FBI. When he moves to NYC, he encounters and befriends some fellow hackers, including 'Acid Burn' (Angelina Jolie), 'Cereal Killer', 'Phantom Phreak', 'Lord Nikon' and Joey, who is too uncool to have an alias apparently. Together, they discover a plot by another hacker, 'The Plague', to rob banks around the world using a worm virus, while he distracts the FBI with another virus called 'Da Vinci', which will basically cause a worldwide disaster. And why are Dade and his friends involved? Because they're getting framed for it. This movie is fast moving, fun and has a cool cast. Just try to keep up with the computer talk.

love this film. great cast and acting. computer hackers take on the bad guys when they accidentally find some information which could cost them dearly. a love story evolves and the hackers are on the run. Music by the prodigy fits this film perfectly. i like this stlye of Angelina Jolie in her earlier days.

  • Getting dated

At times there is rather a lot going on in American accents that makes it difficult to pick out every word. However the plot is not so complicated that you can't follow the thread of the story. It moves at a fair pace and if you can forget the outdated technology such as floppy discs it's an enjoyable movie. Watch now or wait 40 years until it's a historical classic

One of my favourite films from my youth. It's a bit dated and cheesy now but it's well done and still very entertaining.

  • Sunday afternoon film

A very simple and easy to watch film - almost a teenagers action film. Surprised to see AJ looks as good as she does especially in the end scene - nudge nudge wink wink. Probably save for a safe Sunday afternoon film

Futuristic at the time but rather dated now, even Angelina is a schoolgirl!! Apart from that this is an enjoyable film that holdes the attention provided one is interested in the subject matter. Jonny Lee Miller was convincing
