... but not the best in the series either, certainly better than halloween 3. Definately worth seeing if you've seen all the others.

It's a halloween film, you get what you expect!

cinematography great, story awful. Paul Rudd does get better but sadly the halloween franchise doesn't. Donald Pleasence's last film which is a sad inditement on his film career

  • Poor spin-off type movie

H6 gets the premise of the slasher movie all wrong. Both its prequels and sequels are better, making this the worst Halloween movie. It feels like a bad spin-off movie.

This is one of the best instalments of the Halloween series. It has a great cast, a dynamic story compared to the rest. It makes me chuckle that people are against this movie when they are spoon fed Friday the 13th bad instalments and think its cool, or a Platinum Dune's new mess up of trying to be creative. Not saying there has not been good instalments of Friday, but most are rubbish. I would take a Pepsi challenge on how many horror movies i own and have viewed let alone other genres. But trust me the Halloween series have had one bad instalment but this one is not that. People watch horror movies to be scared. Which is not true we watch horror to survive the mad and savage ride of the horror we view, for this is the only genre which is greatly over looked and that give film makers to push the limits of their artistic rebellion. Those same people are the same people that view films like The Unborn and so on terrible films and think wow. Halloween represents everything good and purely evil about the genre and this instalment shows how the old school is still fresh and new today. And people who called this film poor or rubbish only see the later coming out of there mouths. Got problem suck my HORROR LOVIN...... !

Donald Pleasance is excellent as always, Paul Rudd is very good, and Marianne Hagen puts in a good turn. Nothing else is very good at all. Wafer thin budgets, poorly realised secret cults, unexplained scenes (eg Michael suddenly killing all the doctors), and a vague ending. Mildly entertaining for real Halloween or slasher flick fans, but not worth seeking out. The next sequel, H20, marks an enormous leap in quality - watch that instead.
