    [Highly rated reviewer]

Original scream-queen Jamie Lee Curtis swore that she would never make another Halloween movie after the second. She then returned in the ’20-years later’ sequel H2O and surprisingly, it made sense. But like Michael Myers himself, Jamie should not have resurfaced for Halloween Resurrection.

White-masked Michael returns home for Halloween to find that the Myers mansion is infested with pseudo-intellectual college students doing a ‘spend the night in a haunted house”-reality internet show. He’s as unhappy about this as you will be watching it and thankfully decides to kill the all off. Garden variety murder-spree ensues.

Halloween Resurrection scrapes the bottom of the barrel in the Dimension Films conveyor belt of new millennium-horror. Using reality-TV as a template for thrills has been successful before –think My Little Eye. But Resurrection finds itself closer to the delectable Blair Witch project or even worse, FearDotCom. It does have its very few moments, but the experience of watching Busta Rhymes do karate chops and use profanities every two seconds ruins every last ounce of suspense.

The Halloween series has been a tale of two worlds. The solid storyline, wonderful direction and chilling performances of Halloween 1,2 and H2O. And the superficial, mostly pointless and best-forgotten spin-off garbage of the rest, including Resurrection.

Halloween Resurrection is unfortunately a firm entry in the big book of no-no’s. We’ve loved the Halloween legend, but surely now is the time to put Michael Myers down for good.

This film should never have been made. An insult to the first few (and amazing) Halloween films. Terrible acting, no real scares, and you always know what's about to happen. Couldn't wait for this film to be over.

THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS Show review anywayHide

Mike's my all time horror hero I always enjoy watching him silence the earsplitting screaming big breasted bimbo who without fail runs up the stairs when she should be running out the front door (to quote Sidney Prescott) so anything with Mike in is always worth a watch if you are a fanatic follower of the Halloween films however dont take this film in the same catagory. if you do watch then expect a 'spin off' that has none of the original class from the other Halloween movies plus Mike has in my opinion 'lost his edge' in this film ... on the whole it's enjoyable but dont expect a typical Halloween film, it's far from that. Only two good parts that i actually found good were the two michael's, that was cool and a bit creepy and where Jamie Lee Curtis finally ses goodbye to Lorie Strode ... very watchable but not in the same class as the original Halloweens.

Tripe! Thank The Lord above for Rob Zombie! I remember going to see this film in the cinema, I was so looking forward to it, the premise seemed original. The previous release Halloween H20 was the film that had turned me on to Halloween, and indeed along with Scream was the best horror of that time period. I've never been much of a fan of horror but there was something about Michael Myers that interested me, so the idea of this film going back to the house where it had all started made me really, really want to watch. Unfortunately this killed the original run of the Halloween films. the good thing is it opened the door for a re-imagining of the series by Mr. Rob Zombie.

Halloween resserection , this slasher as a dull story line dialouge and simply becomes corny. The bad things are predictable and another simple one like h20 i would miss this dont watch.
