Defiantly one of the most underrated war films out there!

Watched this film last night, very impressed by the FX, cinematography and realness of the scenery, quite an achievement considering this was many of the actors first big film, and made on a smaller budget than its vietnam predecessors Platoon and Apocalypse Now, to which may have caused this film to be greatly overshadowed!

Many people have complained on the lack of seeing the enemy and the 'amateurish' photography, personally I think this is what makes this film as it defiantly adds to the realism of war, and firing at an unseen enemy adds to the 'Why are we here?' factor, which is exploited largely in the film.

The only slight qualm I have with this film is that some of the acting comes across slightly wooden.

Other than that, this film is an overlooked gem, and should be watched by any war film enthusiast!
