Will Smith and Charlize Theron have signed up to reprise their roles in a sequel to Hancock. The pair starred in the 2008 superhero movie, which Smith also produced, and it went on to net more than $600 million at the worldwide box office. Will Smith's new movie Hancock has smashed it way to the top of the UK box office during its first week of release. It tells the story of an alcoholic superhero who hires a public relations professional to improve his damaged public image. Former number one Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian was knocked into third place by Hancock after it took £9.59 million over the weekend Animated comedy Kung Fu Panda raked in £4.38 million in its opening weekend to take up the number two slot.... Smith set to play Katrina hero

Will Smith is to play a real-life Hurricane Katrina hero in new film to be written and directed by someone named HANCOCK. The Hancock star will help take The Rookie screenwriter John Lee Hancock's new film about ex-Marine John Keller to the big screen. Keller helped rescue more than 200 of his New Orleans, Louisiana neighbours when they were left stranded by the devastation of Katrina in 2005. Read more

Actor Jason Bateman has become a germaphobe since turning 40 - because he's increasingly worried he'll catch a virus and die an untimely and horrible death. Peter Berg is set to direct a new Hercules movie for Universal Studios, it has been confirmed. The director, who has just helmed the Will Smith hit Hancock, will also produce the film entitled Hercules: The Thracian Wars, to be based on a five-issue comic series by Steve Moore. Berg will be joined on the project by co-producers Jonathan Glickman, Roger Birnbaum, Gary Barber, Sarah Aubrey and Barry Levine.
