Oh so disappointing. I had no expectations for this film, having only heard of it through trailers and thinking it looked like a cool Will Smith film. I like the concept and the first third of the film was actually quite entertaining. But then the plot spiralled into a confused pile of crap.
If the film had stayed a simple tale of an ordinary super being getting to grips with his failings to become a super hero then it may have worked. However, clearly the writers lacked the ability to add depth and instead included a rather contrived plot twist where Charleze Theron is also a superbeing, making each other mortal so that we could have a dramatic will they/ won't they (of course they will) live scene at the end. Deux ex machina.
The direction was pants, the music at times was awful. The film as a whole didn't know what it was doing.
