    A finely integrated performance

A very well sung and played version. The Academy of St Martin in the Fields and the Academy Choir are perfectly matched. The singers are excellent, especially the soprano Sylvia McNair, and the concert is sensitively filmed, with sensitive switching from singers to orchestra. The disc rented played only in black and white, but presumably that was a fault.
