  • With Eric Bana as her dad - You don't want to make her angry

Like others who have reviewed I am extremely disappointed that this can't be rented. What's going on? There's Hanna, 127 hours and Adjustment Bureau. All of which are available from a High street rental store but not LF. Why?

    Anyway - to review:

Excellent film. Ronan is superb as is Blanchett and although the ending may be a little bit Hollywood the rest of the film delivers some great scenes and a pacy story.

If anyone was awed by Joe Wrights stunning sweeping beach scene in Attonement - you will not be disappointed here. just wait for Eric Bana to get off the bus and then start counting.

  • BBC TV's Rev as a baddie ...

    Rated - 3.0 stars

I chose the film because I wanted to see how BBC TV Rev's Tom Hollander would play a thug. Lovely cinematography at the very beginning of the film of the forest, snow and hunting - and of course it is a film about a hunt ... I agree with the reviewer who said it was a bit of an odd ball, & the soundtrack was suitably wacky. Hanna was well cast, not an easy part.

  • Let down all the way.

Watching thousands of movies so far, this is my first review. This film is so bad I couldn't let it go. Wooden acting, no idea for a plot, it seems. Worst of everything: the music, maybe not the music itself, but it was just so totally disconnected from what you were watching at the certain moment... Anyway, badly acted, naive, kind of teenage movie. Of course, you don't expect much from an action movie, but it just didn't deliver that little to call it watchable. Somebody said that the movie was unpredictable...really?

A friend told me to watch this. He said it was excellent. He was wrong. It was like watching paint dry. A very over-rated film. Imagine a really crap version of Leon where you couldn't give a hoot whether any of the characters lived or died because they were so weakly written and shallow.

A dead easy watch. Not on my 'favourite films list. But nice to see a female protagonist. i wouldn't say 'typical'. But another ok teen film.

  • Run Lola, Hunger?

Kind of an odd movie - shades of Run, Lola, Run tinged with The Hunger Games. Very indie in feel, and a good Chemical Brothers' Soundtrack. It didn't seem to grab the other half's attention but I was intrigued by it's all round oddness
