This has to be one of the most boring films I have ever seen.
Oh my god. I don't usually write reviews but feel compelled to in this instance. I rented this because it is an ICA film and I usually love what they do, but something seems to have gone awry with this one.
Take 5 or 6 fairly boring people, put them in a room together without a script, and then film on a handycam you happen to have around. Add in really bad sound quality so that you can barely even hear the boring conversation, and this just about sums this film up. About 20 minutes in to the film we looked up a review on the internet (I really should have done this before), and it described this genre of new filmmaking as 'mumblecore'. This is just a slightly highbrow way of saying 'a bit crap'.
We managed to watch 60 minutes of it before switching it off. Mainly because Hannah has very nice hair. it also prompted quite a lively discussion amongst us on the quality of film making today, so that was one upside.
