Step 2 far??
By Ray from Silsden, West Yorkshire , 29 Jul 2006[Highly rated reviewer]
Not a bad series, just not a very good one either, stories predictable, acting so-so alright if there is nothing on the TV, wouldn't go out and buy it though.- Was this review helpful to you?

this was to be my first
By stickfiddles (4 reviews) from Durham , 11 Oct 2009As a now retired monthly article writer I looked forward to it, unfortunately the review system dropped out 3 times forcing me to start again, and again, and again - so after wasting 3 hours with nothing on paper I gave up - sorry. So all I'm going to say now is - If only it were widescreen....- Was this review helpful to you?

By a customer from Hinckley , 18 May 2009Pleasant to indulge in nostalgia viewing this series set in a long past age of chivalry.- Was this review helpful to you?

Oh Dear...
By a customer from Ascot , 20 Jan 2009I really like Robert Powell, and thought he was excellent in the film the 39 steps, so I had high expectations for this series.
But sadly it dissapoints. Firstly it is far too slow, you feel so much padding in each episode, secondly the stories themselves are not up to much.
Series 2 fairs slightly better than Series 1, but I felt myself battling through these until the end, rather than enjoying them.
What a shame, and missed opportunity to utilise the talent of Robert Powell, who is indeed a very fine actor- Was this review helpful to you?
