Technical perfection

This was the third DVD I had seen by the Netherlands Dance Theatre, and I was a little disapointed with this one but that may well be because the style was not a suprise. The technical standard of choreography is superb, and this company obviously uses contemporary orchestral as well as traditional composers' music well.
My favourite is the last peice 'The Old Man and Me' which starts with a song of the same name by J J Cale, and features an older couple in costume. It portrays their relationship in a subtly comic way, a very difficult thing to do in dance.- Was this review helpful to you?
