Utter rubbish

This film sounded so very promising, moulding itself along the likes of The Orphanage or Pan's Labyrinth. Unfortunately it never delivers, after one and a half hours of waiting for something exciting or surprising to happen I came to the realisation that this was just one of those films that aspires to be something, but never reaches it's goal. The dialogue is drawn out and pretentious, the acting is weak, but visually it is beautifully photographed. Don't bother watching this dull fairy tale, as you might be better off going to an art gallery to look at a beautiful still print and still get more emotion out of that then this boring pointless film.- Was this review helpful to you?

If You Go Down To The Woods Today . . .
By manonfireuk (297 reviews) from Liverpool , 28 Mar 2013This isn't the latest silly Hollywood blockbuster but a strange South Korean gothic horror / fantasy take on the classic fairy tale from a few years ago. It's perhaps a bit too long for this kind of movie as it does drag in places and it seems to take forever to get to the inevitable back story flashback to explain the situation that the cast of characters find themselves in but it does still manage to keep your attention, possibly because it is just so weird! Don't go expecting a true horror story with this one, it's more in line with something like Pan's Labyrinth then your usual Asian Horror movie- Was this review helpful to you?

Entertaining and not to scary K-horror flick
By a customer , 14 Mar 2013Though only loosely based on the Grimm fairy tale, the film is visually stunning and some nice creepy moments. Not the most scary Asian horror film but definitely one of the most imaginative. If you want to escape the blood and silly gore of J-horror or angry ghosts with hair covering their faces then this is definitely worth the watch.- Was this review helpful to you?

A Decent "Korean" Movie

And
To the person that wrote
'Rubbish. Couldn't understand a word. Sent it back for a replacement. That the film is Korean should be have been stated way earlier as its a UK website we order the films from so I expect the film to be in English language'
Did you not take the time to read about the film, or at least scroll down to the language it was in before ordering it?
