Great British comedy (& a kung-fu bear)
By Col from Southport, Merseyside , 15 Sep 2004[Highly rated reviewer]
I kept missing episodes when this was shown on BBC2, so it was great to watch all of the shows back to back on DVD.
Wonderful comedy timing from a great cast make for a fantastic show.
The first series concentrated on Danny Spencer (Paul Whitehouse), and how he was coping with losing his wife.
Danny is still at the centre of series 2, but it explores his circle of friends far more than in the first. The tragic Sid & Charlie stuck in a never ending rut of alchol & disappointment, Rachel & Terry bored with kids and marriage and the hilarious Angus trying desperately to hang onto his long lost youth.
Kathy Burke's far too short cameo role in one episode is worth a mention. It left me in tears of laughter.
Rent this (& series 1) if you remember the good old days, when Cold Feet was funny.- Was this review helpful to you?
