Car racing drama. Stock-car veteran Mitch Cooper (Rory Calhoun) is down on his luck. He befriends a mechanic, Les (John Gentry), who wants to be a pro race driver, and Mitch agrees to teach him. Les wants nothing more than to race - but his wife, Rene (Connie Hines) is less keen. Mitch finds himself increasingly drawn to Rene, who is cool and unresponsive at first - but later their relationship causes an argument to break out between Les and Mitch, which results in Mitch having to drive a race car himself in the upcoming big event despite a leg injury.

Just a good classic

Not great unless your into your old films. Not much racing at first - I expected lots of action which it didn't have. Good storyline though.

hard drivin is pure B moive trash;with a so so story line and wooden acting,saved by some great race scenes.best part for me hearing that smallblock chevy screaming though the carolina hills.
