Didnt float my boatBy JediSi (301 reviews) from Kent , 22 Sep 2007
[Highly rated reviewer]If you are looking for a movie that has some action and is moderately entertaining without requiring much cerebral activity, this is right up your street. For the rest of us watch Identity.
'Hard Rain' does have an excellent cast and some impressive set designs and effects. But it is so horribly written and cliché ridden it's distressing to see such a cast and budget wasted! The plot is very weak and the twists and turns are no more than a slight veering that you can spot a mile off. One of the final scenes where the state police turn up seconds after all the action pretty much sums it up. Definitely missed the boat, this one.

THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS Show review anywayHideIn my view, this is a wet and sodden film that did not entertain me in any way..It just plodded along with a weak story line, of a security van highjacking... The rest of the film was of people swimming around in rising water that was escaping from a dam, and firing at each other...Not really my cup of tea.

Good and Christian is a baby!By gianino (648 reviews) from London , 04 Jul 2009
THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS Show review anywayHideGreat plot, great cast & good fun. Christian Slater & Morgan Freeman were amazing as usual. Bit tacky at times (especially when Minny Driver takes out a screwdriver from her pocket & let Christian Slater free) but it's really good fun. Christian is hooooot ;)
A very wet experience!By a customer from London , 12 Dec 2008If I was a high-profile star like Morgan Freeman and I was approached to do a film which involved being waist-deep in water for an hour and a half, I think I would have turned it down! He should have done - it was a very damp squib of a film in every respect.
