I always look forward to enjoying a good 2 hours of magic.

By PurpleHiraikotsuRider (3 reviews) , 22 May 2012As an avid fantasy fan, I was disappointed when this movie, like its predecessors, contained unnecessary plots from the book while removing essential pieces of the story in attempt to 'stay true' to the book. As always, the acting was abysmal, and the movie wasn't even half over before I identified it as the most ridiculous Harry Potter film so far and don't believe they can become much worse.- Was this review helpful to you?

more interesting story and plot
By denis007 (133 reviews) , 04 Mar 2012I am now watching the whole series of Harry Potter and since I first watching the series, I'd say that this one is definitely the most interesting of the Harry Potter series. I truly enjoyed the plot, the special effect and the participation of Robert Pattisson. For once, the beginning of Harry Potter did not start at his uncle's home like it did in the first three episodes. It was a bit too predictable and I expected it to happen again. Takes a bit to get going but gets there in the end
By Bassman71 (617 reviews) from Didsbury, England , 28 Nov 2011Fourth year for the students at Hogwarts and Harry is mysteriously entered into a wizard tournament, has to complete tasks, sinister forces at work, all is not what it seems.
Slightly long-winded yarn this time but makes up for it with some excellent action scenes and the additions of Brendan Gleeson, Ralph Fiennes, a young Robert Pattinson and a superb if brief turn from David Tennant.
The CGI is even better than before and some truly spectacular set-pieces but it does take a bit to get going rather than drawing you in like the other films.
Music is passed over to Patrick Doyle from John Williams but, as before, the music is very well done.- Was this review helpful to you?

GOBLET OF DIRE
By a customer , 10 Nov 2011What could have been a spectacular treatment of children growing-up into responsible adults turns into a rather pointless spectacle; masquerading as entertainment. The children's powers don't represent a flowering of their innate gifts, but an excuse for special effects' pseudo-creativity in visuals serving little dramatic purpose. There is a terrible lack of imagination here: A strong sense of making it up as they go along - not to stretch a child's imagination, but to conform to adult limitations.
The actors cannot make their parts live because they lack a precocious understanding of their own adolescence, nor much acting talent. However, pubescent jealousies, sexual feelings and ethical choices are depicted; eventually making the drama more engaging. The only other pleasure here is watching respected British thespians hamming it up for all they are worth.- Was this review helpful to you?
