[Highly rated reviewer]This is a blood and guts, gritty and true to life film. Hollywood turned up but without the glitz, and this will be a one of those 'is it a true story ?' films that will make you want to learn more. Clint should have thought of making his swan song in this, could have found a place for him easy. Costner and Paxton give it that who's the good guy, who's the bad guy thing, you got to watch it to have an opinion, you decide. 5*

A Brilliant watchBy a customer , 16 Sep 2013Brilliant series. We loved it and would like to see more of the same type. A good Saturday night film
Compelling but a little long-windedBy Chrisaljack (413 reviews) from Hellingly , 28 Jul 2013This History Channel depiction of a real piece of American history is compelling viewing. The pace is a bit slow in places, but it covers a period of over twenty years in four and a half hours designed to fit into TV schedules with a series of commercial breaks. Kevin Costner is great as the senior Hatfield. One cannot help feel that these two families must have had immense influence to be able to remain in such a feud for so many years without greater consequences.
Did he fire 5 bullits or 6By titus1812 (3 reviews) , 10 Jul 2013Terrible what war can do, family battles can cuase so much damage it beggers beyond believe, great acting and a great true story, ,if that can be ever told correctly. Great mini series up there with the rest
Well worth a watch!By Trafficcop (15 reviews) from Leeds , 13 May 2013This 'mini' series is one of the best I have ever seen, Bill Paxton and Kevin Costner are excellently cast as the two main characters. I am not normally a fan of 'Westerns' but this had me watching the two discs back to back. Brilliant!
Very enjoyableBy a customer , 26 Apr 2013Missed this on t. v. and looked forward to receiving this on discs. Really enjoyed watching it,although the pace was a bit slow but the story made up for that. Cosner and Paxton give good performances.
