  • very disappointing film

Very disappointing film, as if all the major actors were just doing it to fulfill a contract obligation, they appeared to have zero interest in what they were doing. The film was also shot almost entirely in the dark, I always think that just shows a lack of ideas or budget. It was trying to be Bourne without Bourne, the music or the script. In fact the music was like something from a 1960s tv detective programme. To its credit I watched until the end.

Steven soderbergh has made some great films like sex, lies and videotape and traffic this film sadly is not one of them. Some good fight scenes but overall the whole thing was just underwhelming for me.

With a great cast of Michael Douglas, Ewan McGregor, Antonio Banderas & Billl Paxton I was expecting so much more from this film. I kept waiting for the big scene 'of something' but it never came. The girl playing the lead role (Gina Carano) did a good job and fight/action scenes were impressive but the rest of the cast were so wishy-washy - just not a fiery script. All in all a bit disappointing.

With so many good action thrillers out there, this just looks all the poorer by comparison. Wooden acting - not all of which can be explained away by the threadbare plot and poor script with which they had to work. The promos for the film mentioned the hard edged fight scenes, which there are. But a film needs so much more than that
