He Died with a Felafel In His Hand
Based on the humorous 1994 novel by John Birmingham, HE DIED WITH A FELAFEL IN HIS HAND is just as quirky as its name suggests. Set in various parts of Australia's east coast, the film stars Noah Taylor as Danny, a 30-something-year-old wanderer drifting through life one town, girlfriend, and job at a time. Danny's wild experiences in each location form stories unto themselves, and also add up to a larger whole. The resulting offbeat narrative takes a comic look at the themes of purposelessness, elusive direction, and the universal search for life's meaning.

Really funny insight into flat sharing to the extreme. Good for homesick Aussies... and despite portayal in the film it doesn't ALWAYS rain in Melbourne...
