  • A really good thriller that keeps you guessing

    [Highly rated reviewer]

I'm not a fan of foreign language films as I find the subtitles distracting, hence I wasn't expecting to enjoy Headhunters that much.

    How wrong was I!

It's a fast moving, gripping and original tale with plenty of action, (some bloody), and loads of twists and turns along the way.

The subtitles hardly bothered me at all - all though they did flash on and off the screen rather quickly to take in two or three lines of text - but that's just a minor gripe.

Headhunters was easily one of the best films I've seen this year.

    Don't miss it!

Started off with a good story idea but got totally lost in its own attempt to be clever. Pretty poor

  • Just OK...

Saw the trailer for this and didn't pick up on the fact that it contained no dialogue(the original Tattoo trilogy pulled the same trick!) - only when it arrived was the fact that it was in Norwegian apparent - despite the fact that one of the cast is in Game of Thrones and has great English! The film is OK - highly implausible and thats what really lets it down. Its well made and has a high quality TV drama feel to it - the dubbing is OK but its the unresolved plot lines and OTT moments that let it down.

It's dire, feeble, with an unbelievable plot, wooden acting, pointless violence, badly dubbed and a contrived ending. Choose something else to watch.

  • Don't let the subtitles put you off!

I love foreign films as I find that what they usually lack in big budget special effects they more than make up for in storyline. Headhunters is no exception. I started to enjoy this film from the minute it started, it was straight to the point, no having to wait to get into it. The film is very intriguing and clever, however it did not try too hard- it is in no way 'too complicated' and is very easy to follow and left me feeling satisfied with the ending. For anyone who usually avoids foreign films please give this a go, trust me after a while you will forget the subtitles are there!

  • Norwegian Noir

Simply superb movie from a typical Jo Nesbo story. The 'hero' has refreshingly few redeeming features. The bad guys are truly awful and the police are predictably thick. But the story is so clever that the archetypes are easily forgotten. Two hours of absorbing entertainment.
