A really good thriller that keeps you guessing
By Wooster (310 reviews) from Tonbridge , 04 Apr 2012[Highly rated reviewer]
I'm not a fan of foreign language films as I find the subtitles distracting, hence I wasn't expecting to enjoy Headhunters that much.
How wrong was I!
It's a fast moving, gripping and original tale with plenty of action, (some bloody), and loads of twists and turns along the way.
The subtitles hardly bothered me at all - all though they did flash on and off the screen rather quickly to take in two or three lines of text - but that's just a minor gripe.
Headhunters was easily one of the best films I've seen this year.
Don't miss it!- Was this review helpful to you?

(120)brilliant movie
By backfusion (10 reviews) , 15 Jun 2013brilliant film, well worth the watch, really good action scenes and some may make your stomach churn, watch it on subtitles not dubbed before the americans make a remake and spoil it.- Was this review helpful to you?

Biting off more than can be chewed?
By a customer , 10 Jun 2013An interesting and entertaining Norwegian thriller about a secret art thief who gets more than he bargains for when he goes to steal an expensive painting. He steals works of art to keep his wife in the style of living he thinks she wants. During the day he works as a Head-hunter and only his partner in crime (a security man working with alarms) knows about his criminal activities. The lead actor playing Roger has a very physical role and spends most of his time running, hiding and fighting! An enjoyable film with a twist.- Was this review helpful to you?

Head and Shoulders
By Robinski (165 reviews) from Glasgow , 07 Jun 2013This is what I'm talking about. 'Headhunters' is a rippingly good skandi crime thriller directed by Morten Tyldum from a novel by Jo Nesbo. Aksel Hennie is the protagonist who gets in over his head when an art theft goes wrong, 'Game of Thrones's Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Synnøve Macody Lund and Eivind Sander provide the support in what is a highly enjoyable euro-thriller. Even though the cast is small, they are well used and the story rattles along at a pace that keeps the viewer involved at every turn. There are some satisfying developments that don't really qualify as twists, and there is nothing radical here, but it is done with style and panache, and Hennie's lead performance is so engaging that you will be happy to get dragged along for the ride. Another excellent example of why Scandinavian dramas are deservedly riding high.- Was this review helpful to you?

Oh my god!
By readergirl (21 reviews) from Worksop , 01 Jun 2013As my husband was quite a devotee of Jo Nesbo's books we were quite looking forward to this movie but after twenty minutes or so we stared at each other in disbelief i. e. how more ridiculous could this plot get? We gave up.- Was this review helpful to you?
