Excellent film

Heathers was one of my favourite films when I was younger - it had Winona Ryder, who I wanted to be, Christian Slater, who I just plain wanted and some of the funniest lines in teen comedy. Come on - swatch dogs and diet coke heads? Genius.

It's dark sharpness is retained, although the clothes and some of the dialogue have dated somewhat. The satire is just as biting - hippy teacher forcing emotion on kids "...suicide is one of the biggest decisions a teenager will make", the deaths still so close to the wire (am I meant to laugh??).

An excellent film that launched Christian Slater's career and for that we should all be thankful.
