    This sickly teen movie from Disney is set on a health farm called Camp Hope where overweight kids go to diet. The camp is taken over by a maniacal fitness guru who forces the inmates to endure humiliation, starvation and abuse. Buried deep beneath the cringe-inducing sequences is a satire about commercialism, since it transpires that the kids are to become part of a wider merchandising scheme. If this comes your way, avoid.

    Fun kids comedy with a pre- A-list turn from Ben Stiller. A bunch of fat kids attend their favourite summer camp, only to find that the owner has been forced to sell it! The new owner - an insane fitness guru who aims to get all the kids to lose weight by the end of the summer (so he can make money, of course). Out goes fun & games, in comes exersize, exersize, exersize. The kids finally revolt and take back their camp! Ben Stiller hams it up brilliantly as the camps new sadistic owner. Overall this is good harmless fun from the Disney stable. No great surprises, but fun nonetheless. Also has an enjoyable cameo from Jerry Stiller.
