I've seen HH, ('Come to daddy,'), HH2, ('Come to mummy') and had jumped over to HH4, (no such catch phrase).
The storyline gets started immediately, (no prastinating). Basically some teenage kid buys that pillar, (with the box) and comes a cropper and a female journalist investigates his death. - Maybe in some ways its better than the body, (coming back to life) storylines in the first two films, (its less intense).
The female journalist, Joey, has a recurring dream about her dad dying in Vietnam, (he died before she was born and this dream storyline progresses). Actually, the acting from the journalist and the teenage boy's possible girlfriend, or more acquietance isn't that great. (Just like the first two movies then!)
It turns out that the pillar ends up in the possession of a sleazy, naracissitic club owner, (J P Munroe). - After a one night stand, the viewer sees the re-emergance of the overly familiar storyline. (There are also references back to the first film from a video and a more significant reference too). - A deal is struck between J P Munroe and Pinhead; yet then it turns into a deal between Pin Head and Terri, (Munroe's ex).
- Just when I thought that nauseating catch phrase would not surface in this franchise, yep over forty minutes in.. 'Come to daddy!'
'There is no evil, there is no good, there is only flesh.'
A criticism I have is the Senabites: Camera Man, Doug, some flame throwing barbed wired entangled man and CD man, (the club dj). - I much prefered the Senabites from the first two movies, (particularly the teeth chattering man!)
As the film went on I quite enjoyed it. Its still dark, murky of the underworld and has the shock and scare factor in amundance! The way too Pinhead delievers his lines is still fantastic!
