Hellraiser 6 is a look into the fractured mind of the main character, Trevor, after a fatal car crash kills his wife Kirsty, and has suitable performances from Dean Winters (as Trevor) and the rest of the cast. The film has fine special effects (with obvious but okay CGI), a few nice little twists, and is straight-forward with maybe too many hints given throughout. It is in the same style as the 5th film – with subtle and occasional use of the Cenobites. The film also has Ashley Laurence(who starred in the first 3 films) back as Kirsty Cotton.

  • Thought I was watching Hellraiser Inferno again

This film should be called Remote Seeker not Hellseeker as you will be looking for the remote to end the agony of this film. Plot is repetitious as it is similar to Hellraiser Inferno, lead a blameless life and Pinhead will leave you alone. The twist at the end is its only saving grace.

The return of Kirsty to the franchise...yay

The return of poor quality sequels...boo

I looked forward to this one being a fan of the franchise thus far. My main gripe was that from the second film onward the films really lacked cohesion playing out more like supernatural tales set in a shared universe rather than direct sequels.

When I heard that Ashley Laurence was returning I got rather anxious to watch the film as it took many a year before it made it's way to the UK.

But the wait wasn't worth it. Hellseeker was another in a long line of direct to video films that was more concerned in pampering to new viewers to widen the audience profit margin. Links to the original were tenuous at best with kirsty appearing less on screen than pinhead.

the story is rather poor pretty much lifting the plot from Carnival of Souls (same twist ending also) and the film manages to tarnish the reputation of one of my favorite horror heroes by giving her a rather macabre and dark shift in personality.

If like Inferno they had used fresh characters this would have been a lot more enjoyable but for a fan of the franchise this is nothing but a disappointment.

That said this is far more competent than the films that follow

The acting wasn't great, but good for its time. Nice film to watch online to scare the pants off ya. Darkened room etc etc. However, its takes more to scare me.

I enjoy these films, in the vein of Saw. Mass scares great!

Fantasy to escape with. Just don't be believing too much. This and Hellseeker are much the same. But at least this one follows on from the first two.

Good twist at the end. Had a sneaking feeling, but it was near the end before I realised what it was. I recommend a watch if you like the Hellraiser series of films.

    Happy Watching!

This hellraiser six isn't as good as the others before it . I don't think it links to any of the other five. Allso the main bad guys are hardly in it. Poor hellraiser film.

  • Hellishly bad sequel

The only notable thing about this atrocious entry in the Hellraiser franchise is the return of Ashley Laurence as Kirsty, the lead in the first two films. And she's completely wasted in what amounts to no more than a glorified cameo. And talking of cameos, Doug Bradley pays the bills with a brief appearance as good old Pinhead who originally started out a genuinely sinister figure and is now a bore who just asks his victims the same rhetorical questions about pain etc etc. Hellseeker is a painfully repetitive film. I think it breaks the record for the number of scenes that turn out to be dreams or hallucinations. Give this one a miss.
