Inconsequential Love Story!

I have awarded this movie one star only because Matt Damon's performance as the reluctant psychic George was brilliant given the very weak material he had to work with. Eastwood's past endeavours at making movies of substance have been quite simply brilliant, so I was very surprised at how bad this movie turned out to be.
I kept thinking throughout:'What is the point,and where is the story going' as the pace of the story unfolding was slow and seemed to lack direction and cohesion.The trailer was superb,which made me think this movie would take me on a journey of twists and turns when it came to the storyline.But it just didn't deliver anything of substance, in the end it turned out to be a rather inconsequential love story, and nothing more.In my opinion, this was a wasted opportunity to deliver a movie that could expand on the theme of the hereafter.- Was this review helpful to you?

Believable fantasy

As for finding the action slow: true, there were no car chases, but the film opens with the Boxing Day tsunami, and takes in the London bombings. The different story threads come together nicely, coming to a focal point, where the hero and heroine shake hands - and nothing happens! Long and drawn out toilsome shart
