No-one actually likes this mind numbing pap. its just the latest 'must watch' overhyped show from the states. There are better ways to feel included people.
Repeat after me. 'We're all individuals...'
Why is this show so popular? I love Lost, 24, Invasion and pretty much all the other great american series. But I'm just not that into this. Unlike those other legendary television shows, Heroes is absolutely chock-full of flaws. And I'm not the sort of person who usually spots flaws, or cares when I do. But to me, they stick out like sore thumbs in this. It just doesn't have the same quality, the same eye for detail and perfection that other series do. I mean, yeah sure it has excellent performances by everyone, but that's not nearly enough to get it 5 stars. Too often the writers try too hard to make it 'realistic'. They keep away from the whole happy ending outcome of any situation, that instead of having natural highs and lows and giving moments of satisfaction and justification aswell as the moments of pain and sadness, the characters seem to be eternally on the wrong side of every event - even when something does rarely go right for them, it's not long before they're miserable again. It would be nice to see sometimes when a character comes out on top in the end. That does happen in real life too after all. I wrote my review for series one and pretty much slated it there too. I had no real intention to watch series two, but when it came about I have to admit I was curious as to what the characters would get up to next. So admittedly I obviously do find it entertaining, but I certainly don't particularly recommend it. I'd like to say I won't be watching it again, but I'm already planning on seeing series 3, which looks pretty enticing I must say. I'm sure I'll love it (yeah right).
