    The return of the sheep.

No-one actually likes this mind numbing pap. its just the latest 'must watch' overhyped show from the states. There are better ways to feel included people.

Repeat after me. 'We're all individuals...'

Many thanks to woo_hoo_not for telling me exactly what I like and don't like. Without such guardians of popular culture we could be watching any old tat and not having the good sense to know it. Hats off to you woo_hoo.

    Over-hyped disappointment

I quite enjoyed the first series of Heroes, despite the lack of originality and general twist-over-character-depth dependence, but this second series was a major let-down. The first half of the run, in particular, is appalling. Honestly, it's turgid. Dreadful, messy storylines with a real lack of focus, laughably wooden acting, absolutely shocking special effects (which I was surprised by in a big-budget American TV programme) and as for the accents, it's best to put such things from your mind. I stuck with it, though, because having invested so much time in the first series I couldn't give up too easily ! Things get better, later on, but series three is going to have to seriously up the ante for me to keep watching. Fingers crossed.

    Just Gets Better

Having just finished the first series and loving every minute, I was delighted to get the new series through and it was no disappointment. The interplay between the characters is superb and the plot has more twists than you can shake a stick at. With new characters added to the mix this truly is one of the best TV series I have seen. Shame it is only 11 episodes this time due to the actor strike but the series 3 promises to be longer.

I can`t wait, bring it on!!

This is the bonus features disk, so not that interesting when you want to watch the episodes of heroes and you get the boring bonus features!

    I just don't get it

Why is this show so popular? I love Lost, 24, Invasion and pretty much all the other great american series. But I'm just not that into this. Unlike those other legendary television shows, Heroes is absolutely chock-full of flaws. And I'm not the sort of person who usually spots flaws, or cares when I do. But to me, they stick out like sore thumbs in this. It just doesn't have the same quality, the same eye for detail and perfection that other series do. I mean, yeah sure it has excellent performances by everyone, but that's not nearly enough to get it 5 stars. Too often the writers try too hard to make it 'realistic'. They keep away from the whole happy ending outcome of any situation, that instead of having natural highs and lows and giving moments of satisfaction and justification aswell as the moments of pain and sadness, the characters seem to be eternally on the wrong side of every event - even when something does rarely go right for them, it's not long before they're miserable again. It would be nice to see sometimes when a character comes out on top in the end. That does happen in real life too after all. I wrote my review for series one and pretty much slated it there too. I had no real intention to watch series two, but when it came about I have to admit I was curious as to what the characters would get up to next. So admittedly I obviously do find it entertaining, but I certainly don't particularly recommend it. I'd like to say I won't be watching it again, but I'm already planning on seeing series 3, which looks pretty enticing I must say. I'm sure I'll love it (yeah right).
