    [Highly rated reviewer]

I've never been a fan of this show but always felt a bit like I was missing out if I didn't see it. But there's only so much of this dire rubbish I can watch. The show has no decency or taste whatsoever - a teenage girl being brutually injured time and again isn't my idea of entertainment. It's always been a bit sick here and there, but this series really went too far. One scene early on in the series actually shows an innocent woman being burned alive by her attacker with lots of sickening detail and screaming. At that point, I decided this show really didn't deserve another moment of my time. The characters are almost all dislikeable losers with constantly changing personalities - one minute we're lead to hate someone, the next we're expected to sympathise with them. Thank god this is fictional, if these rejects really were the only ones who could save the world, we'd be doomed.

  • Grrrr inconsistencies, written by monkeys?

    Rated - 2.5 stars

Was this written by monkeys? I loved series 1 and most of series 2, but series 3 is awful.

Rule 1 - introduce then develop characters and let the audience relate to them. Broken time and time again. Really bored of the constant inconsistency of character set up by series 1 and the 1st part of series 2. When it was on tv I had to stop watching half way through, even though I had eagerly anticipated series 3. Years later it still makes me angry! It's ok I guess, but given the quality of series 1 that's unacceptable. They say given an infinite amount of time, a room full of monkeys with typewriters will produce the works of Shakespeare. I think these monkeys only had 5 minutes. If you're a fan of Heroes, this is dross. 2. 5 stars is for stand alone rating, compared to series 1 I'd struggle to give it half a star. I really hope that series 4 is better...

  • Just stop watching it after series 2

I loved series 1 of Heroes.... Series 2 was decent-ish if a little hurried at the end.

This seems like it has a new selection of writers and it's ultimately poor. Quality of acting has gone down along with the writing and comes across as a hammy straight to DVD affair. Avoid and don't ruin the first 2 series.

Thought it would be better but couldn't not watch it. I wanted to see more saving people rather than the troubles they were having.

Yeah, Heroes went crap after season 1. This proves it. Nothing heroic, just slightly interesting at best. Shame, as it seemed to have so much potential.
