Hex Away

Oh my god, can it get any better?? Gorgeous witches, Lesbian dream sequences, and you've got to love Cassie (Christina Cole) she plays the part so well, or is it just because she's a total ride. Fantastic!!

Sharp, Sexy and Supernatural

This has definitely got to be one of the most refreshing television series that i've seen come out of the UK in a long time.

At the time of its released it was said to be the UK's answer to buffy, well just forget that. This is funnier, sexier and much darker and all the better for it.

A supernatural that is sexy AND british - check it out.

AMAZING!

I watched this series when it was on Sky One and it was awsome! i cant wait till it comes out on dvd :)

Hex is a like darker version of Buffy and i found it really addictive! The cast were good and the plot was really deep. I couldnt wait till the next week to find out more answers, as the episodes go on the plot starts to unfold.

I definately recommend this!

Half decent british series?

I liked this because it makes a change to have a half decent british series. I get fed up with everything being so American! Hex has been likened to Buffy and I can see why. It is sexy, dark and scary - more so than Buffy. It also has humour. Unlike many british TV programmes it does not pretend to be set in any sort of reality. Al the cast are good looking, healthy and well dressed. They go to school in a stately home and are allowed to go to really cool nightclubs etc. It just is not real! But that is what makes it better than the average miserable british programme. The story line and plot is interesting but a bit slow at times - you spend a lot of time waiting for something to happen. Definately worth a watch if you like Buffy, Angel, Dark Angel and programmes of that genre.

Buffy with British class

Really good series shame its so short with only 6 episodes but very entertaining all the same. If like me you likebuffy and all things similar then this is definately for you cheers happy watching bring on series 2.

Hex Citing

Great to see an English version to the Charmed, Buffy, etc'sd of this world. We don't come up second best either, this is a great start to a great plot. Fantasic location, story line & actors. What more could you ask for? Rent it now.

Lower thy expectations

I dinged the full series hoping it was a 'lost' or a 'carnivale' I had missed.

It's made in the UK along the lines of the US formula for a mini series and it falls somewhere inbetween the 4 o'clock on Sunday 'specials' and something like 'charmed'.

The story is complete hokum and the holes in the plot will make you wince; but as ever with this type of thing, the characters are enough to keep you watching.

Rent it if you like buffy, angel or Grange Hill. Haha. Seriously.

SMART SUPERNATURAL THRILLER

Excellent British thriller. Great to see something original not from the USA. Extremely watcheable, smart and funny. Corny in places but its heart is in the right place. Very pretty lead actress too!

A mixed opinion

Having heard a lot about Hex, I thought I would start at the beginning. Apparently it is based in an English Boarding School, although this is a bit tenuous and comes across as a bad channel 4 soap opera.

The pace is far too slow to draw you in, but picks up at the very end of the end of the pilot. I hope that the series improves on this up from here. Worth watching if you like the rest of the series and want to have the scene set.
