Imagines from America
By a customer from America living in London , 02 Nov 2006[Highly rated reviewer]
I give this 4 stars because it's interesting from a historical perspective. Being African-American and having grow up with the gross imagines of blacks throughout the early American films it was interesting to see Cab Calloway who is rather smooth, well spoken and intelligent. I imagine that at the time this was pretty progressive. It's not a great or well told story but still it's a fascinating study in images in America. And of course it's worth it just to see him do his music. A great performer.- Was this review helpful to you?
