This film is superb. Now high school seniors, Troy Bolton (played by Zac Efron) and Gabriella Montez (played by Vanessa Hudgens) are facing the prospect of being separated from each other, as they go off in different directions when graduating from East High School.
They are joined by the rest of the Wildcats, including Sharpay Evans (played by Ashley Tisdale), Ryan Evans (played by Lucas Grabeel), Chad Danforth (played by Corbin Bleu), and Taylor McKessie (played by Monique Coleman).
The theme for this High School Musical extravaganza, is that the High Schoolers organise an elaborate spring musical, reflecting their experiences, hopes, and fears about the future.
Troy struggles in his decision of whether to pursue his basketball scholarship, or to change direction, and go into the world of theatre studies.
Seventeen high energy dance numbers appear in High School Musical 3.
Will Troy and Gabriella stay a couple, or split to attend different colleges?

I went to see this film pre-booked on the first day it came out (Wednesday), the first time in my life I have wanted to see a film so much I actually pre-booked, and it was worth every penny!
The first 10 minutes or so I thought, 'Oh god, it's cheesier than 1 and 2 put together' but I think that was for effect and possibly to remind viewers of the previous films, HSM1&2, after that was out of the way, it settled down into the best of the 3 films, higher quality filming, better props, scenery, direction, more action packed and the music was great! The songs were, apart from one, completely original! The production values were much higher, as would be expected from a film made for the big screen and I really enjoyed it!
There were a few jumps in the editing and continuity, but nothing that detracted from what was an all round great film!
If you like Zac, you will love this film!
Only one thing to note, Zac's singing voice has matured really nicely, but Vanessa still sounds a bit like a child!
Well worth a trip to the cinema! :oD
