    [Highly rated reviewer]

Borrowed this film as its cast looked good and the short intro made it sound intriguing.

However, could only manage to stick with it for about 25 minutes as it was so slow! Things have moved on much faster in the years since 1987 when this was made and our expectations are for much slicker, wittier dialogue, action and direction.

Along with a very young Kenneth Branagh with a cockney accent - most of the cast seemed to be overacting or acting caricatures.

Scenery was good but even then not sure if it was real or cleverly superimposed backdrops!

If I could rate it no stars, I would. Still - that's the point of renting - you win some and you lose some. This was definitely a loser.
