What on earth were they thinking? I can't believe I wasted time watching this!

OK the acting was generably mediocre, it was probably made for TV, probably on tight budget, but that is no escuse for such CHEESE!

At one point a group of immortals beat the c&/\p out of some thugs. Fair enough, but then a petrol tanker appears from nowhere and blows up. WTF? Had they just underspent on their pyrotechnics budget? This was followed by the group walking hero-like from the smoke, accompanied by Queen's 'Princes of the universe'? Is this a spoof? Is it ironic? I wish! That might have been funny.

That, along with the 'entire-film-recap-for-those-who-still-don't-quite -get-it' near the end, were the low points but none of the rest was much better. All the action (and most of the rest of the film) was entirely CG and not even done well.

    Avoid!

And since when can you see all the planets in the solar system and the sun with the naked eye, at night?!

I rather like the first and third Highlander films, hated the second film and don't considered it part of the Highlander universe, watched at least 3 seadons of the TV series and even watched the cartoon which was better than the 2nd and last 2 films.

There are HUGE major plot holes in it that don't explain the Game, where the Immortals and Watchers came from and how it all started and as for the ending.......Well, I have seen worst endings but I have seen more better endings from similar rubbish films.

I wouldn't recommend this film to any Highlander fan at all.

Fan of the first Highlander Film? Not watched the highlander TV series? Do NOT watch this, like other reviewers: you will not understand what's going on!

Fan of the series? This is an excellent conclusion to both the film series and TV series (more so the TV series, with many favourite characters making an appearance).

Highly unlikely to be enjoyable as a stand-alone film if you've not seen any of the others/series.

Without providing too much in the way of spoilers, after a very slow start (it's now post-apocalyptical, when did that happen?) the film turns the whole 'there can be only one' on its head and makes you reevaluate the entire original story line (skipping film 2 of course!).
