I really enjoyed this series, it gave you a good insight into area, culture of people, fantastic scenes.
Yet again Michael Palin has delivered the perfect display of how to travel through some of the most unreachable and dangerous parts of the world while remaining unflappable and always engaging. The format may be familiar following his previous journeys around the world, and no doubt the BBC's unbeatable world connections and budget made the jouney through the Khyber Pass and along the Afghan-Pakistan border slightly easier and safer than for the average traveller you have to admit Mr. Palin really had to work in this one - the altitude sickness alone would have sent me back to my arm-chair within minutes.
