Dialogue-dominated Rap Drama
By Musicvidfan (28 reviews) from Northolt, Middlesex , 06 Feb 2005[Highly rated reviewer]
'Hip Hop 4 Life' (or to give it its actual title 'HipHop Battle.Com: Hip Hop For Life') is a 2001 American made-for-TV urban relationship drama, and it follows the ups and downs of a poetry-obsessed young man (played by newcomer Q-Nice), his girlfriend (Danielle Green) and his social circle as he prepares to take part in a rap battle competition.
Very top-heavy in dialogue, the film makes a welcome change from the routine crime and drugs rap-themed action movies, but at the same time, may be considered too slow-moving to endear itself to viewers.- Was this review helpful to you?
