    Good God!!!

If its gore you want, then gore you'll get. If its a storyline you want, then put Bambi on. If you have seen 'Wrong Turn' or 'Wolf Creek' or 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre' do not bother watching this. These are all Oscar winners in comparision.

Sad to say I watched this film and was disappointed to find it dry and unemotive compared to other films in this genre and style.

If you're looking for something to scare you, get 'Wolf Creek' or Michael Hanneke's 'Funny Games' - both similar in story to this, but infinitely better produced and will get you to the edge of that seat.

Could have been a very scary movie

Having recently decided never to visit Australia following the disturbing insight into the Aussie life portrayed in Wolf Creek we decide to check out the opposition in this Genre. Hoboken Hollow is a film very much in the same genre, based on true events, tales of torture and designed to shock the faint hearted. Sadly where Wolf Creek sent shivers of fear and unease Hoboken sent only shivers of disappointment. The film did not capture us at all in a way that might evoke any fear or emotion, we simply did not believe the events nor did we empathise with any of the characters, there was something lacking and that missing ingredient was replaced with a little more gore which when added to a slightly disjointed plot made for a pretty average movie. Hoboken Hollow had a promising cast and with a little more effort could have been a very scary movie but we can not go higher than 2 stars for this attempt.

    Absolute rubbish

I gave this a 1 star as I was grateful when it ended (with a bit of help from my skip buttons on my remote control) Now i can normally sit and bear a movie but this one takes the cake!! I wonder who decides what to put onto dvd as they must be mental!!

Boring movie, weak plot, i guess people must be running out of ideas. Rather watch your fish swimming around or your plant growing taller!!!

    Poor.

Very cheesy, laughable low budget rubbish. Music was borderline porno, why two decent stars (Hopper & Madsen) chose to do this is beyond me. Yes it was a horror, but only a horror to watch!

    Different in a good way

I really liked this movie. A friend suggested it to us, and it was what I thought it would be. Very much a texas chainsaw inspired movie, and yes it was a lower budget, but it was still good.

Cameos from Michael Madson and Dennis Hopper, as well as C. Thomas Howell playing such a slimeball of a role.

The plot was decent, the gore was good, and the acting wasn't bad. I've seen better but I've seen much much worse. If you're a serious horror/gore movie fanatic then I would say get this one. You will appreciate it for what it is. If you're not a serious horror/gore movie fanatic, don't bother, you'll be disappointed.

    TELETUBBIES IS BETTER

I have not seen something as crap as this in a while if you like snuff movies with all that torture then this is for you but if you like a good horror where you sit on the edge of your seat or jump out of your skin then dont bother cause it aint gonna happen.

    Half decent

Surprising that even though there are two big stars in this film it was pretty poor. Like a serious Devil's Advocates, which just lingers and is then quickly concluded.
