    HOLDING OUT FOR HOLDING ON

This fantastic tale of multi layered lives in London is a perfect example of great British drama. This drama first aired on BBC2 way back in 1997 and was then subject to repeats on UK-Drama. With an all star cast HOLDING ON focuses on the lives of people in London and how thier lives are inter-twined with other peoples lives also. From the mistreatment of a severely mental patient, to the murder of someone's sister, to the love affairs, a food critic with an eating disorder, the Solicitor who gets mugged, a taxi driver who is pushed to the limits, a mother who wants justice for the death of her son, djays struggling on a council estate... there is so much more. If you know what it's like living in London - you'll know what it's like Holding On.

Rent this and be moved by a drama serial so explosive it will knock you into the next episode and by the time you reach the final episode you will feel like watching ti all over again.

Excellent British drama at its best!

I missed most of this series when originally shown on television. This is a series each being stories of a number of different characters each experiencing once in a life time crisis or life changing incidents. As each story progresses there are subtle and obvious crossing of paths of the characters through the stories. This is well written, directed and most importantly well acted. There are so many good performances. Although on 3 discs could not wait for the next one and well worth the effort of watching.
