Yep, Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) has managed to ditch his family again, this time getting on the wrong plane and ending up alone in New York while they are heading for Florida. And, armed with dad's wallet, he enjoys all of life's luxuries at the Plaza hotel until he runs into those two inept burglars Harry and Marvin (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern) once again. Unfortunately, what worked in the first film is not quite as entertaining here — instead of defending himself against the bumbling criminals, Kevin takes a great deal of glee in being maliciously abusive to both of them and, for an abandoned child, he does seem remarkably unshaken. Still, as slapstick escapism goes, this is well-engineered stuff, though it could have been so much better (and more believable) with a bit more heart.

    • Radio Times
  • Virtually a re-make of the first film, though the humour has a far more unpleasantly sadistic edge to it. This undistinguished comedy was among the biggest box-office successes of 1992.

    Absolutely Fantastic

I have seen this film more times than i can remember, it is in my opinion the greatest childrens film ever, i am now 22 and still love to watch it!

It is a very Christmassy (if thats a word) film and also Home Alone 2 brings that true New York Christmas to your screen!

If you havent seen Home alone 1 or 2 watch them both, Macauly Culkin is one of the most fantastic child actors ever, he's definetly up there with the likes of the lad from sixth sense. Hope you enjoy!
